David Hamblin was a Utah therapist accused of sexually abusing children and patients. In 2022, a renewed investigation uncovered disturbing allegations of satanic ritualistic abuse and a possible wider network involving numerous people.

The investigation became controversial when witnesses made extreme claims involving satanic rituals, murder, and other crimes. Case was investigated and people were arrested but then something happened,

In 2025, the Utah County charges against Hamblin were dismissed with prejudice after serious problems arose over evidence and the disclosure of information to his defense.

In short: A real abuse investigation became intertwined with extraordinary claims of a larger Utah ritual-abuse network—but much of that larger story remains unsolved.
